HardcoreEdit

"Hardcore"is DEVO's name for official compilations of demos released as albums, in two volumes. Devo say these are 4-track demos, recorded from April 1974 to December 1977 in Akron , Ohio . The compilations are known by several names. The first official release of these demos was in 1990 and 1991 .
Hardcore Volume 1 was released by Rykodisc in 1990 in CD and cassette formats. It was also released on CD in France by Fan Club in 1990 on LP and CD.
Hardcore Volume 2 was released by Rykodisc in 1991 on CD and cassette.
Both albums were re-released via Booji Boy Records/Superior Viaduct in 2013, featuring liner notes by Henry Rollins and 4 previously unreleased tracks were added to the end of HardcoreVolume 2
